About Samantha Bricker
In May 2024, Samantha Bricker retired after 32 years working in local government. Prior to retirement, she was the Chief Sustainability and Revenue Management Officer/Assistant General Manager for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). In this role, she was responsible for overseeing Commercial Development, Mobility Strategy and Parking, Sustainability and Environmental Programs, as well as the Strategic Sourcing Division/Procurement. Ms. Bricker managed over 200 employees as well as dozens of consultants. She oversaw all hiring, budgeting and policies and programs for these divisions.
Prior to joining LAWA, she was the Chief Operating Officer at the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority, tasked with planning, designing and constructing the $2.5 million Expo Line from downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica. She managed all administrative and operating functions for the Authority including, budget, HR, real estate, third party coordination, community and government relations, SBE and labor compliance, procurement and environmental planning.
Ms. Bricker was a senior transportation deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky for over 12 years before becoming the COO for the Expo Authority. Throughout her career, Ms. Bricker has led the way in securing approvals for complex infrastructure projects, implementing major policies, programs and initiatives and engaging with key stakeholders.
In June 2024, Ms. Bricker formed Bricker Strategic Solutions to provide strategic guidance to government agencies and private firms in the areas of organizational management and administration, environmental planning, stakeholder engagement and project management.
